Shelley served as a police officer in the West Yorkshire Police. She graduated with a BA Hons in Law from Leeds Metropolitan University and the Inns of Court School of Law, London from where she was called to the Bar of England & Wales, before cross qualifying as a Solicitor in 2000. Shelley has worked for international law firms and has represented both companies and insurance companies. Prior to joining O'Rourke Reid, she acted for an international company dealing with all aspects of their employer and public liability claims. Shelley specialises in all aspects of personal injury litigation including Road Traffic Accidents, Employer Liability/Public Liability including industrial disease claims. She has also defended actions against the Police. Shelley is Head of our Defendant Litigation Department.
